Dr. Ava Dorfman is a pediatric neuropsychologist providing comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. She specializes in assessing learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia), ADHD/ADD, and autism spectrum disorder, as well as complex cases involving multiple overlapping neurodevelopmental conditions. Dr. Dorfman has particular expertise in identifying autism spectrum disorder in females and males whose symptoms may be less obvious or masked. She is skilled at providing clarity in cases where previous evaluations have been inconclusive. Through rigorous clinical training at distinguished academic medical centers, Dr. Dorfman also has extensive experience in neuropsychological assessment of individuals with a history of concussion/traumatic brain injury (TBI), seizures/epilepsy, and a wide range of chronic medical conditions.
