Dr. Ava Dorfman is a pediatric neuropsychologist who provides comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluation of children, adolescents and young adults with diverse learning, developmental and medical/neurological challenges. Dr. Dorfman has particular expertise in working with children with learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia), ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays. Through professional positions at distinguished academic medical centers, Dr. Dorfman also has specialized training and extensive experience in conducting neuropsychological assessment of individuals with concussion/TBI and seizures/epilepsy. Dr. Dorfman strives to address a child’s unique needs and utilizes the evaluation process to inform the most appropriate interventions and supportive services to enhance a child’s cognitive, academic and social-emotional functioning.
